C-Pal will quickly become your pal
Sponsored by the Office of Vocational and Adult Education, C-Pal (Community Partnerships for Adult Learning), is a free online resource for adult education professionals containing all manner of information about how to form effective partnerships.
The website, at www.c-pal.net, is designed to strengthen ties among businesses, libraries, colleges, national nonprofits, faith-based and community-based organizations, social services and workforce development agencies, and other providers, to improve the accessibility and quality of adult education.
A feature called “Tool Box” offers a broad selection of community and adult education resources including how-tos, research reports, and links to relevant websites sorted by topic and potential user. There is also a section explaining how partnerships can strengthen adult learning and how technology has benefited adult education programs.
A section called “Partnership Profiles” provides detailed descriptions of 12 successful community partnerships, as well as brief descriptions of other promising adult education partnerships and a glossary and a tool to search by topic.
